In my last game we where playing open lists, and i knew my opponent had his dispel scroll as the only item on his wizard, so i cast arcane unforging on him as my opening spell. It really put him on the spot and he ended up using the scroll on it just because he might loose it anyway otherwise, made the rest of that game's magic phases much easier for me. So i thought i'd share this with you guys, if you know for a fact that a certain mage is a scroll caddie, due to open lists or just it being obvious, do this as soon as possible to try and force the opponents hand into a bad situation that might cost him his scroll early on.
Definitely this is quite common tactic with respect to spirit leech If you leech the oppositions scroll caddy (usually the level 1 or 2) more often than not they will burn the scroll because otherwise there is a good chance you kill off the wizard and therefore the scroll, better to save the wizard for channels and such. Arcane unforging just now gives you a further spell that you can use
Guess i never got round to that since i stuck to light/life in the old book. Unforging does have nice range on it however, but with the new skink vassal rules that's hardly an issue for us.
