Ive never been to a tournament before and Im also new to Lizardmen (but not fantasy) Here is my first attempt at a tournament list. Please be harsh when taking a look at my army. Also I have no idea what I'll be facing. So its an all comers list Slann Mage Priest Plaque of Tepok (Knows 1 more spell) Divind Plaque of Protection (2+ ward against ranged attacks) FOcused Rumination (Free power dice when casting) Core 25 Saurus warriors hand weapon and shield 25 Saurus Warriors with spears and shield 12 Skink Skirmishers Special 1 Stegadon Rare 3 Salamanders (split into a unit of 1 and a unit of 2) Strategy, use lore of light and cast bubble spells or if i choose to, use life and beef up units. So I have a few questions here. 1) My strategy for the slann was to run solo hence the 2+ ward against range. Does this also mean he gest 2+ against magic missiles? 2) I dont really have a big hammer unit. But a ton of S4 attacks. I was thinking of changing the Stegadon for 6 Cold one Knights which would equal the same amount of points. Good idea or not? 3) I was also thinking about changing the 12 skink skirmishers for 7 Chameleon skins which are the same number of points to hunt down warmachines. Thanks in advance
I wouldnt run slann solo. He can always leave unit if need be. In that points i would just run focused rumination or mystery. Look out sir plus 4+ ward and leadership is really good. Cupped hands if you have room. Yes on chamo skinks.. 6-8 should be fine. if you have room percentage wise Need more skinks skirm Maybe only 2 salamanders. they are wonderful against hordes If you have room banner up your sauri I liie stegs they are great for flanking but so are cold ones. Maybe drop steg For a scar vet on cold one with dawnstone and magic weapon if you take cold ones You need a magic weapon to deal with challenges and ethereal.
