I am happy to announce that I went 2-1 against my friends :-D

I know I said that I would post my list before the tourny but didn't get around to it because we started playing a day earlier than I expected

Anyways, here is the list off the top of my head (I don't have it in front of me now):

    General: Slann
-Cupped hands of the Old Ones, Diadem of Power, Bane Head
-Focus of Mystery, Soul of Stone, The Focused Rumination & the one that gives you MR (3)
-BSB with Sun Standard of Chotec

Heroes: 3 Skink Priest (2 on Ancient Steggs with EOTG and 1 on foot)
-1 of the 2 on Ancients had Plaque of Tepok, the other just had the EOTG
-1 on foot I gave cloak of feathers to

Core: 10 Saurus Spearmen with Command (in retrospect I don't know why I didn't field more in lieu of other models)
Core: 2 units of 10 Skink Skirmishers
Special: 15 Temple Guard with Command (should have fielded 20, but again realized it afterwards)
Special: 5 Cold One Cavalry (no command because of points :-/)
    Special: 3 Terradons
Rare: 1 Salamander with extra handler
Rare: 1 Razordon with extra handler

I believe that is everything. Here is the battle report:

I fought Daemons first, he had:

    Bloodthirster
3 Blood crushers + Skulltaker on Juggernaut
    20+ Pink Horrors with herald
    20 Bloodletters
    5 Hounds + Karanak
    6 Flamers
    20 Plaguebearers with herald

This battle went great, for me at least :). I did bane head on his bloodthirster and targetted him with spells with the lore of fire right in the first turn. After it was my opponents first turn he was rather discouraged for bloodthirster was in cinders :-D. The battle moved on quite well after that, I had gotten off more of my spells, killing a few others. I managed to get a good counter charge into his bloodcrushers with, I think, just my temple guard. A bold move I know, but I'd rather not be charged by them. Meanwhile, he had charged into my saurus and becasue they didn't break in combat, my stegadon was able to counter charge, killing 5 hounds just on impact hits! :-D. I believe it was at that point, before I even started the close combat with the bloodcrushers that he had conceded :).

Next battle was against High Elves. He had:

    Lord on Star Dragon
A Noble with the dragon prince unit
A Wizard with the dragon prince unit
    I think 10-12 Dragon Princes
    10 shadow warriors
    2 units of 10 Seaguard
    2 units of 10 archers
    3 bolt throwers
1 unit of 5 Swords of Hoeth (I think thats them with the great weapons)

The first round did not go too good for me. I kept on failing all my casting attempts (lore of metal) and then when I got one through I targetted the Dragon Princes and it failed cuz they're immune to all magic :-/. So after that I targetted other things. His bolt throwers (surprisingly) didn't do much of anything most of the game. I managed to kill one with my terradons and was chasing one with my razordon. My one unit of skinks went toe to toe with the shadow warriors and won! His Star Dragon took out one of my Ancient Steggs but I was glad to just keep that thing away from my Slann. Meanwhile, he had charged his Dragon Princes into my temple guard in the rear. Luckily for me he rolled terribly, only killing 2. I passed on my break test and counter charged with my Cold Ones and my other Ancient Stegg. Things were not pretty for the High Elves then. I killed most of the unit, beaking him in combat and chasing down the rest with my cold Ancient :-D. After that, he had conceded.

The last match was against beastmen, the only one I lost which drives me nuts! This is what he had:

12 minotaur in a unit with 2 Gorebulls (1 was BSB) and a doombull
    Unit of 10 harpes
5 units of 5 ungors 2 of which were in ambush (who never got on the table lol)
    2 Cygors
    2 Razorgor chariots
    1 Bray shaman
    Unit of 5 hounds
    I believe that's all

I managed to bait the minotaurs into getting charged by my 2 Ancient Steggs and my unit of Saurus. Tried to get the Temple Guard in there but they were just barely out of sight. Killed almost an entire rank of minotaurs and managed to win the combat by 1 after his attacks back. He passed his break test. Meanwhile his stupid harpies got in the way of me counter charging with my Cold Ones and redirected me right in sight of his two chariots. One chariot hit the stegadon that was already in combat and the other against the cold ones. He killed all of the cold ones except one who actually made it through the rest of the game :). Never got to counter charge with my temple guard because one of his Cygors charged them and tied them up for 2 rounds. At least my skinks killed the other one :). Terradons charged in the rear, but did nothing obviously and he killed them as well. He finally killed all of saurus and one Ancient and then I failed my LD test of the other Stegg. His chariot chased it down and killed it. After that all I had left was 5 temple guard with my slann, the flying skink priest and 1 lonely Cold One lol. I miscasted for the last time and got the one that does a S6 hit to the caster and all models in combat with no armour saves. So, obviously I was rolling 2's to wound and guess what? I rolled 5 6's!!!!!!! Never saw that in my life. My brother, who I was playing and my friend who was watching were stunned with disbelief lol. After that I just called the game because I was done for.

Things that went wrong for me. Miscasted 4 times during that last game and totally forgot that I took Soul of Stone Discipline :-/. I did however use the Cupped Hands of the Old Ones and spared myself from the first miscast. I never should have targetted the minotaur and instead killed all his support units with my magic. I could barely get any spells off on that unit cuz of his MR (2) and -2 to cast all spells on them. In retrospect I should have just targetted the other units because I certainly would have destroyed them.

Oh well, it was a fun tournament and hey, at least I came out on top :)
