7th Ed. Using Chakax in 2k vs VC

    So I was thinking that it would be fun to try out the new Chakax character on a friends VC army. Then I put a Slann, Chakax and Temple Guard together and it add up to 960pts... the rest of my army is:

    2x units of 17 Skinks w/ 2 Kroxigor each
    10Skink Skirmishers
    Lv2 Priest on EoTG
    ~Dispel Scroll
    Chief
    ~Sword of Might
    ~Maiming Shield
    ~L.A.

    He plays a pretty well-rounded VC army, but tips towards magic a bit. He'd prbly bring Blood Knight against me.
    The Chief is supposed to go in one of the Skink/Krox units. I chose to take Skinks as core for two reasons; their cheap and immune to fear. I kinda expect Saurus to lose one round of combat to Skeles for some stupid reason and end up getting run over, with my luck. So, in all, should Chakax be dropped? And any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks a lot!

    Those skink blocks should have full command, although you may be just not listing it. They're US 23, might as well back them up with command. Your army will be a bit small, and the skink/krox blocks aren't really sturdy enough to be reliable anvils. His Blood knights will probably run them right over. The chief will probably not help much against them either. However, if you can manage to land one of those blocks in the flank of the knights, they should go pop if you can kill one. I guess try to charge bait them with your skink skirmishers, since they are frenzied.

    If you decide you really need a fighty character against VC, I would definitely say Burning Blade of Chotec. VC have a lot of regen, including blood knights and the vamps themselves.

    Yea. I do have command. And I was hoping magic or EoTG would do away with the blood knights.
