Been a short while, but these past few days have had me in the zone for some chilled out painting. Slowly but surely progress is being made and I am also getting in more practice with the airbrush, scooting through the ogor flesh base coats. ABing is definitely is a long term process of narrowing down the variables for a smoother experience but I feel this came out well.
The white fur for the mournfangs specifically were a learning process. You give it a typical drybrush and you'll catch the edges of the fur, definitely, but the moulding of these leave a lot of small deep recesses forcing through a lot of the grey base coat. So you don't get that mostly powdery white look you see on the box. In the end I had to give them a couple more -very- aggressive drbrush passes to force the white in a little further so the colour balance and over all look were tipped closer to white.
Its definitely coming together, so far looking exactly how it is meant to (or close enough) so I'm happy!
