Baring an update from the army updates on the 10th of July, isn't lord Kroak going to be awesome in 8th edition?

On a miscast, no roll on the miscast table is made. However, he only has the one spell. And being 600 pts, you can only use him in a 3000 pt game.

What are your thoughts on this?

I would think that the update will address the use of Kroak.

Doesn't the rule for Kroak say something like...if you miscast the spell fails but you don't roll on the table...so wouldn't that mean that in 8th ed if he got an irresistible force the spell would fail?

I sure hope these July 10th FAQs are going to be clear and detailed.
