    I love that Saurus Guard got an extra wound, but it seems like their roll has been diminished to MSU bodyguards for Slanns.

    yep out side of being ablative wounds for the slann Guard have no role as warriors do every thing they do better

    I think guard are only playable in Warcry (I don't know why, because there aren't any Slann). They seem like only a Slann/Kroak tax otherwise.

    If Guard were included in the Sunclaw batallion, I could maybe see them in Starborne.

    The melee range of 1" with a 32mm base really hampers them. I'm dropping my max block to maybe 1-2 MSU 5's.

    Yep! I think if they had 2" range, they could be a bit more viable.
