This competition's theme is: “HEROES OF LUSTRIA”, as proposed by @Explodingzeb , winner of the last comp.

Spoiler: Acalan the Lone Maw

A mighty warrior of the Mazatec Tribes, Acalan once roamed the jungles of Lustria astride his ferocious carnosaur. Together, they kept the borders of Spektazuma safe from intruders who would encroach on their lands and steal the golden relics of the Seraphon.
However, their reign did not last. A surprise ambush from the hated Skaven brought Acalan's carnosaur low, slaying his faithful steed with virulent poison. Enraged, the Oldblood single handedly slaughtered every rat that dared approach their lands. Far from the Temple-City and alone in the jungle, Acalan honoured his carnosaur by stripping a piece of hide and scales, fashioning a shield that would be brought to bear against their foes for years to come.

@BurningBee
blood bowl - great painting, funny models, great bases. my only issue is that i'm not interested in blood bowl, but that doesn't diminish the goodness of the result.

@ASSASSIN_NR_1
herald on starrender- oh boy, already one of my favorite pieces. Very clean painting that exalts all those fabulous details, simple colors for the base that offer a great contrast. Excellent entry.

@Imrahil
Optapl - chameleon skink, nicely detailed, especially for the "morphing part", where you can see the changing colors of the skink that it's going to blend in with the surrounding (base). Good execution of a brilliant idea

@JTSleep
Gortak - excellent kitbashing, the dinosaur is gorgeous, matural-looking and well painted, with all its shiny toys. I would have liked more details on the armor of the rider, but all in all an impressive piece.

Skink on terradons - amazing, just amazing. this one's gonna get my vote. Love the spear and the painting of the shield

Gor-Rok - nice take on a beloved hero. I literally cannot look away from that fantastic shield, a true green agate. Kudos to you

 

Personal considerations, 2/2

Necron Geomancer - I'm a sucker for necrons and i like you color scheme, different from the usual green dominance. However i find this model to be too much "battle ready" to compete against some of the entries.

skink chief - I've always loved this little classic model (i own one too). I really like the skin color and i immensely appreciate the double base... a beautiful stone-like base for WHFB, superimposed on grass for TOW. Details matter, folks!

Acalan the lone maw - another excellent model, with great backstory and nice effect on the armor plates. Good attention to details of the various scales, both the saurus' and the shield.

Saurus Old Blood - not the greatest fan of your choice of color for the skin, but i cannot nagate the final resul is impressive. I'm also totally in love with the dark tone of the overall model

Slann on throne - I'm torned on this. From one point of view, the base, the throne and the surrounding jungle are almost perfect, they truly offer a great attention to details. On the minus side, the Slann and the skinks are imo on a lower level: we have some nicely painted things (the crown, the eyes, the necklaces), bot also flat colors: for example, the claws of the Slann are green as the body, the scales of the skinks don't differentiate from their body.
