So aside from using Lore of Metal, what tricks are out there that can bring a solid victory against WoC. Played a blood bath of a game yesterday. My friend had something like... Lvl Sorcerer w/ Shadow Exalted Hero w/ chosen who got a 3+ Ward. Two units of 18 Warriors. One with Tzeentch (sword and shield), tje other with Khorne (extra hand weapon) 52 Marauders with Flails 5 Knights 20? Chosen w/ halberds And the cart that gives out special upgrades. Cant remember what its called. I won the 2500 point game with around 900 points left. He had barely 300. When my Skink Chief took down his Exalted hero who eventually had a 2+ armor and a 2+ ward, i literally roared in victory and threw my dice at the floor! Hahaha! Anyway, what do yall do in order to ensure victory against Warriors? Or is it just one of those games you have to suck up and deal with?
I'm going up against WoC this afternoon; and I'm playing a 1500 Pt. Game, and in short; I'm taking my Slann with Lore of Light, (Focus of Mystery and The Focussed ruminition 20 TG, FC 24 Saurus Warriors FC Skrox 16 skinks + 2 krox and 3 Sallies I expect my Slann+TG and my Sallies to do the big damage, and my Skrox will focus on his warshrine, ^_^, destroying his 1 deathstar will be a co-operative efford between my Slann and Sallies, while my Warriors will go after the rest ^^ I chose sallies because they negate 2 armour-saves, leaving his warriors at best with a 5+, and at worst with a 6+ My slann will add to the damage by hopefully Birona's and speed of light. ^^ and maybe some other Direct Damage and perhaps cast some magic Missiles through my Skink Priest ^^
Hello, "When my Skink Chief took down his Exalted hero who eventually had a 2+ armor and a 2+ ward" I Just wanted to inform that You can't have a 2+ Ward save in WoCh. The Max war save value is 3+ It can be done by having a Ward of 4+ and a Mark of Tzeentch. The Exalted Hero can obtain it by either Aod talisman of Preservation or by Rolling 2x6 on the Blessing that is cast by the Chaos Warshrine. Well 3++ Ward Save Chosen of Tzeentch are a real Pain in the @$$. Manily because GW has overwritten thier Prime Rule: Only one Reroll per Turn. If you have a Unit of Chosen with a Standardar that gives you Frenzy, a Champion with a sword with Fear, favor of the Gods and a couple of other items, you can reroll the table untill you roll 2x6 or 5 and a 6 and tuss obtain the 3++ ward. My advise is to kill the Shrine First It has T6 4+ sv and 4++ so poison attacks are't that good. Knights have Frenzy so yo can redirect them. Other that this, I'd Suggest Skrox units.
