So I am still quite new to collecting seraphon and don't really have any ideas what to get next or what my army needs... SO far I these models -terradons -bastiladon (solar engine) -troglodon -8 cold one riders -10 sarus warriors -sarus old blood -Engine of the gods -1 skink starpriest - slann -28 skinks - salmander and crew Im planning to pick up an bearer for the rerolls
honestly id hold off on any purchases. the new edition is about to release and you will want to built according to that. I could give you advice all day long... but ti would be based on the old info or speculation at best. usually the idea is too pick a battalion warscroll and work from there... but even those are changing. im waiting myself... so im not giving you any advice I wouldn't follow myself.
That sounds ^ like an excellent plan. I expect that model to remain useful. How many of these ^ are painted? Maybe focus on painting until they release the newest version of the rules.
Most of our changes for AoS 2 can be found in other threads, though a few aren't 100% verified yet. -10 pts for the Oldblood Carnosaur, Knights, and Guard, Summoning with Slann/Astrolith, etc... It doesn't seem like we're getting huge changes. Skinks and bastiladons are getting a bit worse with the changes to mystic shield and shooting, but the rest of the army seems to be staying mostly the same or getting a bit better. We'll have summoning in AoS 2, so you'll want almost certainly want extra skinks, as they look to be something you'll want to summon frequently (6 points for 10, 12 for 20, and we get d3 points per turn from the astrolith and 1 + 3 (0-9) for each spell you didn't cast in a phase for a Slann general. They're getting a bit worse as part of the main army, as they won't be saving 40 points in units of 40 anymore, but will probably still be good. Aside from that, it will really come down to what you want to play. Big monsters with a thunderquake? Saurus heavy with Fangs of Sotek/Sunclaw or Bloodclaw? Shadowstrike? Knights? Eternal Starhost (Guard)? Shadowstrike and Fangs of Sotek (Saurus heavy) had excellent performances at some recent tournaments, and Thunderquake/Kroaknado are always competitive. Thunderquake would be the easiest to go for with your current model list, so you probably want to pick up another box or two of skinks, another Bastiladon or Stegadon, and maybe some Razordons.
I can't wait to see all our new warscrolls. I hope they made some changes that make our stuff better and not nerfed the few units that are good as they are now.
