I am seeking suggestions on what to add to my Lizardmen collection. I should have everything I currently own painted by the end of January and got some GW gift cards for Christmas. I currently have:

    1 Slann
    26 TG
    1 Engine of the Gods
1 Saurus hero on foot (sword and shield)
    40 Sarus with spears
    2x10 skirmishers with blowpipes
    6 Chameleons
    4 Salamander packs

I was considering adding a Skrox unit, another 6 Chameleons, another Stegadon, a CoC unit, or some Scar Vets with great weapons. I am looking at this from a versatility of army list and of collecting standpoint.

For a collection so small you really have your bases cover.

I like using blowpipe Skinks with creative paint jobs for Chameleon Skinks. I don't like the look or cost of the actual Chamo Skink models. I would magnetize the howdah portion of the EOTG if you haven't already glued it. That way you can swap it between a Great Bow, Giant Blowpipes and Engine to give you three different unit options.

I prefer javelin skirmishers over blowpipe skirmishers AND javeling skirmishers can double as cohort Skinks. I'd definitely consider some Kroxigor to get some Skroxigor. Skroxigor are probably the best tool we have to handle enemy elite units.

The following Kroxigor models were sculpted by a forumite at Lustria online! In my opinion they are clearly better than what is currently offered by GW.

Thanks for the input, Scalenex. I was leaning towards a Skrox unit because of flavor and usefulness. I am kinda concerned about not having any Scar Vets with GW...

Are the people you play that strict? Until recently when I started magnetising my arm, my scar vet was only shield and hand weapon but no one, even in tournaments ever complain when I went at the start of a game "this is a scarvet with a great weapon"

If it is for aesthetic purposes in your collection, go for it! Often gw can give you nice dynamic poses
