8th Ed. What to do VS ogres @ 1K

    Hi guys,

    I'm playing against a friend of mine 2night.
    We are playing @1K within a campaign.

    the rules state that the winner of the previous game cannot alter his list!
    My latest game was a massacre VS Tomb king. So i have to play with this list:

    Scar-Vet (general)
    * charmed shield, Dawnstone, sword of might (or burning blade?), CO, LA

    Skinks priest
    * diadem of power
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------250 pts

    20 SW
    FC

    10 skink skirmishers

    10 Skink skirmishers

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------390 pts
    5 chameleon skinks

    5 chameleon skinks
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------120 pts

    1 x 2 Sallies (with extra snack)

    1 x 1 Sallie (With extra snack
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------240 pts.

    Obviously, this is not a list tailored around Ogres, but still i just have to make a run with it!

    Can you guys give me some tips to handle Ogres?

    My plan is to use my Chameleons to hamper his movement on 1 flank. (poison and potentially march blocking)
    (The other side then his mornfangs will be.... ;)
    So hopefully they can chip of some wounds and/or models before they reach my SW)

    Sallies will be on the other flank, to burn some.
    I know they are not great vs Ogres. So i'll have to use the as re-directors or something....

    SV wil be in the centre....i figure he can hold it's ground alone if needed.
    (1+ dawnstoned AS will be enough???)

    Skinks will have to do what skinks do best... Poison and re-direct....Hopefully it will be enough.
    (I wish i could drop some more of these guys on the table)

    SW...hopefully they will see action when i wittled down his blocks.....

    any pointers do's/dont's are more then welcome

    What I would do is make sure that my chameleons can get to the Ironsky cannon that he will probably bring. That thing must die first!

    Next, I would angle my skirmishers with my sallies to shoot with skirmishers first, then follow that with fire. That way, you can maybe cause a panic check. Skirmishers causing a few wounds and sallies finishing the models.

    Concentrate your poison shots on his units from the sides. Do not let him charge you!
