I was just wondering what is the best way to field skinks.

RnF seem nice and cheap, but they are not skirmishers and don't have blow-pipes(which seem better than javelins to me). Krox(s) in the unit(s) look nice, but why not just take them in their own unit(assuming you have a special slot open, of course).

Skirmishers are more expensive, but they seem to move more freely and have blow-pipes. I don't see why one would give them javelins.

    Enlighten a noob, pls? :p

Personaly preference really. The skirmishers are a lot more manouvrable but cost a few more points, and yes the blow pipes do look a lot more impressive than the javelins. Not really worth 'upgrading' the skirmishers at all, if you want javelins just get a ranked unit. The ranked ones will be able to provide a flanking manouvre to your big blocks and negate ranks, the skirmishing ones won't negate ranks, so blocks are more useful in that regard.

Take a bit of each and see what you like best.

I pick skirmishers.. They are the most useful to me.. I tried all choices but only this one seems to be useful to me.. Krox in a unit sounds pretty nice.. But skinks will give you target combat res which is not the reason you brought them with you.

Some people say Javelins are statistically better than blowpipes.. but they even cost more and need a closer range.

Like Strewart said.. try them out yourself and pick what you think is best.
