Like it. Something to think about: where are all the characters going to go? Sure, the Slann is running around solo - are you intending to pack all 3 Scar-Vets into the Saurus block? Regardless, a unit of that size will probably do well with Spears unless you are intending to make them 5 wide.

I'd also strongly reconsider Unstoppable Stampede. Its one additional attack on the Stegadon, which is itself only WS3 and already has 3 attacks: all of its damage is going to come from impact hits and thunderstomp.

Thanks for the thoughts. I don't really like unstoppable, but didn't come up with a way I liked to get 10 more points to put sharpened on the other ancient. Also didn't find anywhere that I really liked ten more points if I got rid of it.

The scarvets are actually going to be going solo. There job is to take out chaff if need be, but more importantly add punch. That is also why the saurus have hw/shield. I hope to use them as anvil and to break steadfast in combo with stegs and cowboys. Of course, I haven't really used it before, so the thought could be flawed.

Good point. In which case, you can use those 10 points to give your Armour of Fortune Scar-Vet the Sacred Stegadon Helm and light armour instead. He won't have a ward save anymore, but he will have T6 with impact hits which is much better imo.

The solo Scar-Vet trick is certainly plausible, and you've got two Stegadons to attract cannons so they aren't as vulnerable as they might be other wise.

Crown of Command seems a bit redundant on the Slann, as if he loses combat by an amount significant enough to need stubborn he'll be crumbling anyway.

Also, in an All-Comers, he's at risk from magical cannons. I'd suggest drpping the obsidian amulet for the Lichebone Pennant and grabbing the dragonbane gem. helps vs Skillcannons, Screaming Skull Catapults, and flaming dwarf warmachines. Sure, you ONLY get a 3++ to magic, but you can dispel stuff too, and you have access to Apotheosis with Focus.

This will also free up 10 points for the additional Sharpened Horns if you drop Stampede.

Crumbling Slann? Am I missing something? Ethereal does not have crumbling rule afaik.

You are probably right to be more worried about cannons (flaming) than magic since I can stop with scrolls, dispel, etc. I may put in dragonbane and do as you suggested with the points.

Gotcha...so I figure that he might lose some combats by a few 1-2, and I don't want to risk a cold blooded 6 roll. I figured the crown of command would allow me to take charges from no static res stuff. Or taking on things with only a rank or so. Just figured it could add versatility without as much risk.
