Morning all!

I threw together a name generator for 8th edition 40k yesterday and decided to stick the code to good use and put together an updated name generator for our beloved lizards.

https://ritualminiatures.com/lizardmen-name-generator

The issue I am facing is lack of source material - I could do with as many lizard names as you can come up with so I can dissect them into parts and hopefully have the generator coming up with something borderline useful.

If anyone knows of any resources for naming conventions, that would also help.

I don't know how sophisticated it needs to be but maybe go through the Saurian language thread and pick some words for first part of the name and some words for last part of the name

I have a personal preference to keep Saurus, Skink, and Kroxigor names under three syllables, but I don't have a problem with longer Slann names up to a point.

have you seen the High Sauruan Article ?

I don't remember where the link to it is. Seems like it was accessed via the wayback machine webpage. (Would it be illegal? IP violation..? to preserve a copy of it here at LustriaOnline?)

***Wanders off to search for link.***

@Ritual :: found it. I bet @n810 has posted it more than once... ===> http://www.lustria-online.com/threads/naming-your-lizardmen.1464/#post-45621

Thanks for the feedback guys, I have added some more name segments in so there should be a reasonably large variety in there now.

Mundichi of the Temple-Avenue of Gold
Tepconqua of the Sulpheret Islands
Gorcuaq of the Sulpheret Islands

I like the idea of naming a character ______ of the ______. I do not think it should be randomized. Whether you are creating stories or army fluff, you should probably deliberately decide what your character is of the of.

It'd be easy enough to add in a suffix in a non-intrusive manner. Can always ignore it if you didn't want to make use of it...
