8th Ed. Wizards in hand to hand combat rule clarification.

Hey,

Can wizards continue to cast spells while in hand to hand combat, I'm a returning player and I remember that before you were not able too. Also, I'm not talking about our slann, but other mages who sit in the front rank of their unit.

I believe they are able to. I took a quick scan of the magic section of the BRB, and I see nothing preventing it. Perhaps there is an FAQ that someone is aware of?

They cannot cast magic missles, but I believe they can still cast spells like purple sun and dwellers below. They can also still cast hexes and augments. Not sure about direct damage spells.

Dweller's Below is a Direct Damage spell. You can cast Direct Damage spells while you're in combat, but you can't cast them at a unit in combat.
