Zenithal or not

Hello I’m really new to painting with an airbrush and wanted to try zenithal on skinks but don’t think it will really work since there’s not much detail compared to others. Probably wrong hence why I’m new What’s your experience with using the technique with skinks? Thanks for any advice in advance

I woudn't say that it will do nothing. At least bellies and all the undersides will be darker. I do preshading on all of my minis for almost a year skinks included. I might do it by drybrushing, but result will be similar in those under areas. Then it depends what do you want to paint them with.

Here are few of mine, painted with speedpaints, you can see that shadow areas are darker.
