Total War Warhammer: Game played and lots of it out

played a bit of Dwarf Campaign last evening, I really enjoyed it, it's a bit adjusting from previous titles from TW, but really like it and was easy to get to grips with.

Just watch your economy I find Dwarfs a tad expensive, best solution I have found is raiding greenskin camps.

I did put most of my experience points and first buildings in economy stuff to raise income, I'll see how that pans out

I'm trying to hold off buying it, I have Attila that I've never played, so booted that up last night and it's pretty good. I'll probably bite if they release Skaven and/or Lizardmen though.

It's really good and they will release more factions they would be daft not too, Chaos look good.

diplomacy is also working nicely as you now can see if you have a high, moderate or low success-rate with your proposals, and chance on that increases with how long you have lower tier agreements with them. Otherwise you need to buy some of the success-rate.

Still trying to get a grip with things, only done the intro and another battle so far, baby steps. Zombies are great meatshields, Fell Bats can actually make Dire Wolves retreat, I witnessed it and it was hilarious. The second battle scared me a bit, they were just standing there... just standing not doing anything.

Welp soon it will get hard for me, not used to these types of games. Enjoying it but I am constantly having to try and figure out who's who. As the first two battles were Vampire Counts.

Just need to try and remember things. Hopefully I can gain some more Raise Dead spells later, adds to the army.
I'm just confused in a way.

Vampires are hard to play according to the selection screen (if I remember correctly)

Not done much with diplomacy yet.

I know you're all excited, but isn't a little soon, to talk about races' expansion? ;)

That's the spirit; always remember what is best in life...

"To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women!"

I don't know. Whenever i play these sorts of "conquest" games I inevitably tend towards making pretty cities. In Age of Empires I research walls just to make zoos for the wild animals. I reckon diplomacy would be pretty good at keeping people off my back as I tend to my urban planning.

"To invite your enemies, to see them enjoy your infrastructure, and to hear the amiable sipping of tea."

Well as anyone faction you have several factions of the same race. Some if not most are or could be rather friendly towards you, getting them in alliances might help create buffer zones so you can peacefully build up your own provinces and eventually you just absorb them in your confederation.

I guess I am tainted by Chaos! :p

Looking forward to this game when there is a steam sale!

Probably won't get the game for a while though. Just got Shogun Total War 2 on sale so I got to play through that first. That aside, looking forward to playing as the Bretonnians and Lizardmen when they make an appearance!

Shogun 2 is a good game, loved that.
