So not knowing much about KOW can people give me a rundown of other armies they play? I know @Crowsfoot has a few.
Salamanders, undead and goblins are my 3 atm. I haven't played for a while but I can do you some pics of stuff.
I am interested in all, but let's start with undead, playstyle, common tactics, multibase ideas. Any info you guys can provide would be great
Dwarves are my primary army in KoW. Strong infantry options, good short-mid range shooting, and with Earth Elementals and rangers excellent close-range manouverability. I also really like the character they have in KoW with the addition of Stone Priests and Earth Elementals. I wrote a more extensive ramble on KoW dwarves here- http://www.bugmansbrewery.com/topic/46979-dwarfs-in-kings-of-war/
Undead are a fantastic army to start with, I will do you some pics of my guys tonight and I will include the stuff I still need to finish
From my understanding, screen your army with cheap chaff hordes (you'll need more than average as shambling will reduce the average speed of your army so you'll have to soak up an additional round of shooting). Then have hard hitters and a bunch of and necromancers behind to play all kinds of surge mayhem once the lines meet. Dan King (UK No.1) is an undead player - I'm not sure whether he has any bat reps out there but it might be worth a look?
Apart from Salamanders, I only play Forces of Nature. They share a lot of units (I use two hordes of Fire elementals in both armies, and often a regiment or two of Salamander primes), but play very differently. I have only played a few games with my FoN, but so far I like them for their versatility (something Salamanders lack). They have access to great shooting from their many lightning bolt sources and have better chaff options than Salamanders, but not as many hard-hitters in close combat.
I'm guessing I'm going to pretty much end up with a FoN army by proxy in a similar manner as you. As my next project will be Brotherhood I'm going to have Salamanders, Fire Elementals, Water Elementals and some heros. Which is basically an army right there!
Okay so they are two different armies, I was thinking Salamanders were an offshoot of the forces of nature and the two could be mixed. Shouldn't have made a guess based on the shop! Should actually read through all the rules.
And since I am not sure where else to put this, as per @Jack Trowell suggestion rep your game here: What Are You Doing With Your Lizards Now? Just want to know who is playing what game and why. Always good to know the great points about a game
