Hey guys. While we have specific threads for game one and now game two, I figured a general campaign talk thread was a good idea.

Topics to start us off:

What campaign are you playing currently and what's your goal?

What mods are you using? (I just started an ultimate chaos mod campaign and sm projecting 50 some odd hours gained from it alone.)

Any photos or battle reports you would like to share? Cool moments? Hilarious ones?

I'm not playing any mods, but I've been playing Dwarfs recently. I've only finished the game with VC, so I want to win with a couple other races. I'd play Empire, but I keep getting annoyed that I can't get past the first step of Karl Franz's first quest.

Technically he's only standing because the photo of him is of him in the rendering suite, so it makes sense even if it is surreal
Makes sense. He looks pretty good... though not as good as the actual model in my opinion (that's probably because the Slann model is my favourite GW model of all time).

For funsies even though I really have no use for 4 or more mage priest in kings of war, I'm entertaining making a conclave of Slaan.

On topic, I don't like the hand prints

That sounds great. Maybe @SlanntaClause can give you some pointers, he is the KING of Slanns. Not sure how many he has, but his collection is impressive.

Have you seen his collection? You really don't want to start a Slann collecting contest against @SlanntaClause ! :p

Have you seen how many models I've painted this year. Get me a supply of hobby cash and I will make a damned KoW horde base of em for fun.

Floating over temple ruins blasting peeps.

I've finished campaigns with the wood elves and Britonia. Both of which has some fun new mechanics to their campaign which makes the style of play very unique. I enjoy how I had to manage my towns in a specific manner when playing wood elves and the entire amber mechanic was a nice refreshing idea in general.

Currently I'm playing as Vampire Counts. Got the entire Sylvania and a couple of adjacent territories as well as most of the empires starting position, Altdorf for instance. Chaos hasn't yet arrived, which is probably where I'll get my donkey handed to me, but I'll try to be prepared :D

But you see the hobby cash is the whole trick of this little game. His collection is immensely costly. He has not only a great number of Slann, but also a great variety of them including very rare ones (and probably multiples of them to boot).

Don't tease me. I only know of 4 variants

There aren't too many of them. Here are the ones I know of:
  • current edition Slann
  • previous edition Slann
  • Lord Kroak
  • limited edition Gamesday Forge World Slann
  • Warmaster Slann
  • older edition Warmaster Slann (the only one on this list that I don't own :()

These are the only ones I know of that fit the current definition of a Slann. There were some older models previously, but in my estimation they were only Slann by name and very different from the current conceptualization of a Slann.

That's it. Slaan conclave is a go
