...also known as "I am nostalgic towards the old sculpts and want to represent them in the game alongside the cool, modern models." So I was looking at the size difference between the old and new Saurus and I thought of a way to homebrew a regiment that allows for people to use their old minis. It looks like the old models are younger Saurus who haven't grown to their full size yet, so this unit is meant to be a lighter version of the current Saurus heavy infantry. Points (TBA) Leaning towards 7 pts. Saurus Youngblood M WS BS STR T W I A LD 4 3 0 4 4 1 2 1 7 Spawn Leader M WS BS STR T W I A LD 4 4 0 4 4 1 2 2 7 Saurus Youngbloods come with a Hand Weapon and a Shield. The unit can be armed with the following: Champion (Spawn Leader) +10 Standard +10 Musician +5 Teething: Youngbloods do not gain access to the extra attack rule from Bite Scaly Skin: 5+ Something To Prove: Once per game the Youngbloods may reroll a failed Psychology test for Fear Thoughts?
So they have one more initiative one less leadership, only hand weapon and shields, one less attack. but at 7 points... they are only 2 points more than cohorts, soo... I guess they are worth it... mostly as a tar pit unit though.
Thanks! I actually design units for other wargames. So sometimes I sit and wonder about units for games that aren't what I"m working on because yay, ADD. >.<
