You're abilities are great for Bossk, and I think you've done well in making them unique. Not a criticism of your ideas, but I'm kind of in two minds about the whole stealth thing with Bossk. One one hand he is an honourable fighter, but on the other hand he is a hunter that stalks his prey, and would probably use stealth for that. This was my idea for his abilities before you gave yours:

Bossk - Dark Side, Scoundrel, Bounty Hunter, Attacker? (Not sure about how to class them) - Ferocious attacker who keeps damage up on enemies before closing in for the kill.
Basic: Relby-v10: Deal damage to target enemy with a 35% chance to attack again. This attack has an additional 40% chance of a critical hit
Special: Micro-grenades: Deal damage to all enemies and assign a Thermal Detonator to them for 2 turns, and assign another on a critical hit
Special: Toxic Escape: Bossk gains Stealth for 2 turns and all enemies gain Buff immunity and damage over time for 2 turns
Unique: Trandoshan Regeneration: Bossk recovers 5% of his health each turn, and 20% on a finishing blow.

The individual values would need to be adjusted to keep it balanced, but that gives you the overall idea of my thoughts on his abilities. What do you think of them, and also, what do you make of these new features and characters they've added in the game?

I think they are very good abilities for Bossk - I especially like the micro grenade one that inflicts damage and then places bombs on the enemy, and the toxic escape could be really cinematic. "How long can you hold your breath?"

I also like the Sidious-esque heal on a finishing blow. I reckon Bossk would be an attacker because he doesn't inflict very many debuffs that don't damage the enemy and also doesn't give out very many buffs to allies, otherwise he would be a Support character.

As for new characters, I like the idea of old Han and Chewie being a duo like Chirrut and Baze, although I missed out on them I think because I didn't play GoH very much last week and I think I missed the Marquee events for them. It's like Director Krennic and the Death Trooper all over again...

Hermit Yoda, on the other hand, I find ridiculous. Galaxy of Heroes is a game for warrior characters because of the RPG style of it. I thought they were pushing it a bit with the Astromechs because Astromechs are not warrior Droids, they are designed for repairing ships, but I let it through because R2's fire attack is based on his abilities in Revenge of the Sith. But releasing Hermit Yoda, one of the least attack-oriented characters in the saga in a game purely about fighting enemies, and before so many other attack-oriented characters like Bossk, Jango Fett, Captain Tarpals and the Gungan Soldier (Sorry I keep bringing up the Gungans again but I feel they are much maligned)? Pretty silly, if you ask me, especially as he doesn't even have an attack. I would have at least expected him to give his enemies a good bashing with his walking stick like he did to R2 in Empire. I wouldn't be surprised if they release a Porg character for The Last Jedi...;)

But seriously though I feel the game is getting a bit ridiculous in some respects. First five separate Jawas, then Astromechs and now Hermit Yoda. Sorry to rant, but I feel they should be giving some of their existing, more fighty characters a rework, most notably the Tuskens and General Grievous, and focus on bringing more warrior characters out and spend less time releasing so-called 'fan favourites' regardless of how effective they would be in a real Star Wars battle.

Now that my rant is over, I am pleased that they have given over not one but TWO slots in the Galaxy Battle shipments for shards for the Rogue One characters. Certainly buying Baze shards has become a lot easier as he appears there a lot more often than in regular Shipments. I will still farm Jyn when she appears in Raid shipments and Chirrut in Fleet Shipments, but I am considering supplementing the flow of shards with extra ones from Galaxy Battle shipments as they are very generous with the rewards. I've already got Cassian to 7 stars because he was in arena shipments and was the easiest to promote. Chirrut is now 5 stars, Jyn is 4 because I've only got her recently, K-2SO is on 3 because again I only got him recently and Baze is now on 4 stars (finally). All of them are on level 15 mods. Baze and Chirrut are on Gear level 7, Cassian is on 6, Jyn is on 6 I think and K2 is on 5 as getting the stuff to up their gear levels is getting tricky. They are all around level 60-70 at the moment too because training has become ridiculously expensive in credits, especially as there seems to be a notable lack of Credits Heist at the moment, although I have a lot of Arena Shipment tokens to play with. I'm considering buying some credits from there until Credits Heist returns. My Rogue One team is getting there! :joyful:

I've heard @Bowser is certainly doing well with his Phoenix team (although they were substantially easier to get and promote). What teams do you have up and running at the moment, and how are they faring? I was thinking of doing a mostly Sith team for the Dark Side battles too with Sidious as lead, Daka (she isn't a Sith but has a cracking heal), Maul, Savage Oppress (Who I also got recently) and possibly Tarkin (again not Sith but he hands out debuffs like sweets), but at the moment I'm focusing on Rogue One. Who are you considering gunning for next? I would love to know! :)

At the moment I am mostly focusing on getting my existing team to gear level 7. I've managed it with HK-47, and am one piece of gear away with Chewie, but the rest of them still have a little way to go. My team is still Clone Wars Chewie, HK-47, Darth Vader, Jedi Consular and Wedge Antilles. As for starships, it's Home One, Wedge's X-Wing, Biggs's X-Wing, The Ghost, The Phantom, Bistan's U-Wing and Jedi Consular's Starfighter as reinforcements.

That's your arena team - how about your light side and dark side teams? For ships, my squad's Endurance, Biggs' X-Wing, Jedi-Consular's Starfighter, Clone Sergeant's ARC-170, Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator (Scimitar) and Wedge's X-Wing, with Geonosian Soldier's Starfighter and Bistan's U-Wing as reinforcements.

Also, what do you think of the new character releases?

I quite like the new character releases. I know you're not keen on Hermit Yoda, but I think it's quite an interesting idea to have a character that doesn't have an offensive ability. A character I came up with a while ago had the basic ability to call another character to assist without attacking themselves. Having a non-offensive character with extra powerful buffs creates an interesting character to go up against, as you have to decide whether to take out the character giving the buffs or go after the ones that can deal you damage. Veteran Han and Chewie were also fun to use in the Marquee events

I like him as a Star Wars character, but I just feel that he is the wrong character to put in a game where the characters fight enemies all the time. Jar Jar Binks would be a similar case - although as you know I am a Gungan fan, I think Jar Jar himself wouldn't be a good character to put on Galaxy of Heroes. Not just because he is unpopular with the Star Wars fans who call themselves 'Die Hard' but because like Hermit Yoda he is not a warrior character.

Who would that have been? I'd be interested to know! :) A character like that would be excellent because they could inflict any debuff upon an enemy - just choose the character you want to Assist with. In fact, Rook does this already although as one of his Specials - he just gets someone else to Assist for him. I think Hera does it as well. Having it as a basic would be an excellent role for Satine Kryze from the clone wars series because although she is a pacifist she still wouldn't object to someone else sorting out a particular enemy. Yes, I know, I am a Satine fan as well.

The former is going to be difficult with Hermit Yoda because he gets Stealth at the start and gains Stealth a lot during the game, although if all his allies die he runs away and escapes the battle. The only way you could kill him before his allies would be by having a load of characters with area of effect attacks like Sidious and Baze.

I can imagine - another duo alongside Baze and Chirrut, Krennic and Death Trooper and Wicket and Paploo. And once again I miss out on them. Typical. They would have been a great excuse to start a New Republic team. I already have the New Republic Trooper and Poe, and was thinking of getting Finn before the Rogue One team came out. I'll just have to hope Han and Chewie turn up in good spots in the shipments.

Also, on classing characters, attackers either have low health and many abilities that inflict a lot of damage or have large amount of health and although their basic ability is weak their specials do a lot more damage. Tanks generally have a poor basic attack but huge amounts of health (more so than the attackers with the largest health like Vader) and have either Taunt, self-heal, self-cleanse, or a mixture of the three. Healers have one or more healing abilities (obviously) and Support characters are all the others who have middling attack and health but all either inflict large numbers of debuffs on the enemy or give allies large numbers of buffs. Hope his helps.

And, the GoH team continue their streak of non-warrior characters by releasing BB8, most likely in preparation for Episode 8, with no sign of Jango Fett, Bossk, Captain Tarpals or any other characters that would be far more suitable. I thought they were pushing it a bit on the realism scale with R2 and Chooper, but BB8? Seriously? What's he going to do, singe Stormtroopers to death with his little flame thing that he does a thumbs up with in Episode 7? He's an OK character but certainly not amazing or cute, as some people think he is. I think it's really sad that the GoH team only release characters that appeal to the 'masses' rather than those that are truly suited to an RPG.

I think they do a mixture. They have to put it characters to appeal to the masses or else they wouldn't be able to get the masses in, but they do still put in more obscure characters that would be better suited as well. While they are relatively famous in the old expanded universe, relatively speaking I don't think many people will have heard of Darth Nilhilus and HK-47. BB-8's abilities look pretty interesting though, with him circulating buffs around and having a super high cooldown ability. It's another example of a character that doesn't do much damage, but you have to make a choice on whether to go after him to stop the buffs or focus on the more dangerous characters who would then get buffed by him. The character I was thinking of for the assist basic was Riyo Chuchi, the senator for Pantora

This thread's been quiet for a while. What do people think about the new Nightsister characters. Is it me, or do some of their abilities seem pretty powerful? A debuff that can only be dispelled by healing to full health, and stops you dispelling others while dealing damage? And a character who constantly taunts and automatically revives as long as there's another Nightsister ally alive? I don't know about you guys, but that seems pretty insane. Also, our Guild seems to be suffering from a mass exodus. Perhaps if one of us went scouting for another Guild that is as good as ours used to be?

Haven't seen the new Nightsister characters yet, haven't played in a while, although I hope they give Old Daka a boost because she is the one Nightsister character I use because of her revives that have given me 3 stars on many an occasion.

I think the new characters have been given powerful abilities to try and make Nightsisters more popular because they are one of the less popular teams at the moment. I just wish they would do that with a Gungan team...

I notice no one seems to have been on in a while. I'm assuming that meant you lot missed the 4(!) marquee events that occurred this week?

Nope, I have been online recently and played in all 4 marquee events. I've now got Kylo Ren unmasked, the first order Special Forces TIE pilot and their ships. With these new First Order characters I've been inspired to start going for a First Order team, as I already have FO Stormtrooper and FO TIE Pilot as well, and the FO Officer is in Cantina Shipments so he will be quite easy to get.

Did you notice that in the most recent territory battle there was a Rogue One only battle? It was great fun! I got to the last tier but they were too strong even for my team to beat! I'll be up for a round two with them anytime soon...

He does, but he's in a different guild to @ravagekitteh and me at the moment. You'd like it - Darth Vader and Yoda are strong characters in it! :)

If you want to join us, @ravagekitteh and I are in a guild called Judi in Training (apparently the creator couldn't get 'Jedi in Training'), or you could track down @Bowser in his guild. It's free and available to play on iOS and Android!
