Here's an overlapping space on the Venn Diagram of my interests I never expected to see open up: Warhammer Adventures, fiction set in the Warhammer universes aimed at the 8 to 12 set. I read and write middle grade fiction, but I don't recognize these authors. Books look fun, though!

I don't get how those are supposed to work. How can you tell a story in the Warhammer universe that is suitable for children?
Its very _essence_ is brutal, dark bloodshed.

I dunno. Write a story about children who live in Altdorf or Zartosa or some other place?

    Cathay maybe...

All the wars would stop if there were no children to grow up into teenagers, to be trained to fight, to be conscripted as soldiers...

Unless you’re Lizardmen or Chaos Daemons, in which case you can still keep beating the living nargles out of each other.

    True.
It would be a sort of a boring universe.
I vote we chuck the Chaos Daemons and the SCE into their own little pocket existence like that.

Leave the rest of the races out of it.

That would leave Orrcs and Lizards as the only spawn-races. The rest of the mortals would have young-lings of some sort.
