I have been looking around on ebay for an hour now without being able to locate what I am looking for. So most probably I am trying to search on the wrong words.

What I am looking for is a "laser pen", "laser beam" etc. but with a "line laser" instead of a pointing laser.

Basically, this means that when you point the laser to a wall you would have a line showing, instead of just a point.

It will be used to verify line of sight etc. so I am looking for a small pen model and not the large tools intended for construction-related tasks.

At first I thought you meant something like a range finder. Maybe something like a red line laser pointer? That may be what you are looking for, I would check to see if it works the way you want with a YouTube video

I guess time will show, though considering their size, I think you have just been unlucky. Or perhaps they have a grudge for overseas customers...
