Accidental Double Posting

I have been accidentally double posting replies to things a lot. I'm a moderator so I can delete my own extra posts, but I'm curious if anyone else has had problems like that or is this a problem on my end?

Scolenex hasn't had any problems but he doesn't post near as often as I.

It happened to me also.
Yeah, now i simply delete my 2nd post… in the past, i was used to simply edit the contents of the second post, writing "double post, sorry".
 
This happens when you lose internet connection. During this, you won't immediately post, but if you keep on trying, you'll make a double post. I like to usually just refresh the page until i get the internet back, and either the message will get posted, or you'll be free to do so if it wasn't already.
 
It has happened to me once or twice.

  • I post.
  • I go away (often to other tabs, tuned to other web places). :brb:
  • I return to the tab.
  • I refresh ...or tap ...or something.
  • It restores my last saved words in the editor. :)
  • I (stupidly) think, “I meant to post that!”
  • I double—post. :oops:
 
I have had this happen, atleast not on this forum. After getting nasty messages on another forum I have to take extra care on the matter. I do think we could have a button for atleast full established members to have an option to delete double posts.
