As you all know, I'm a great fan of the artwork of DeviantArtist Matthew Klaas de Witte, who has thoroughly impressed me with his work on Albion, which has gone on to make up the basis of my fan-made army list, and now he has come up with another big idea - a Warhammer take on the once-mighty Persian civilisation, that he has dubbed Iksassan.
Here are the first of his ideas thus far:
A Champion of the Origin Flame, likely to be a hero-level character who deals in all things fire:
And the first concept artworks for a named character, again likely to be a Hero, Āraš:
@Karak Norn Clansman I've tagged you in particular, as a fellow fan of Matt's work, so you can follow the thread too.

The First Flame is a massive pyre upon a solid gold brazier housed within the capital of Parsis believed by Iksassan to have spawned all other flames, it is relentless and eternal, requires no fuel to continue, and yet it is still protected with ferocity. It was discovered by early men, and their people worshiped it and built their culture around it. It is an earthly manifestation of their God and lends its power to Fire Keepers (fire mages of the Iksassan), and especially its Champion who carries a piece of it within a star-ruby on her pectoral. This is especially significant as this is a piece of its core flame and not one of its lesser offspring. It is a piece of its heart. Magical cuneiform decorates the blade of her sword, and the fire she weilds is the only armour she needs.
Very heavy Zoroastrian inspiration.

Matthew Klaas de Witte said:He has a pet Saluki and a pet Shaheen falcon. His eyes, ears, and nose respectively, and his horse is his feet. None can fire the bow as far as Āraš and few if any can catch him so he wears no armour. He is protected by one of 7 Amesha, though he doesn't believe it, many do.
I based his look on the Sasanian headband/ribbons that trail them in Sasanian art. The story of Arash is short but it has inspired so much in Iran that I wanted to include him in my idea for a Persian Warhammer. I expanded on his tale to include the history of horse archery in Iran, the beautiful Saluki dog, and falconry.
