If anyone is interested, TO just released album full of photos from D-Day event:

I managed to get to the modelers club today! I wanted to go, because it was supposed to be last day before summer vacation starts (club is closed during summer, because kids are mostly away during summer break). After 20 minutes there alone, I got suspicious and googled that this year, summer break already started, so they were there last week...
Well I missed opportunity to chat with fellow modelers.

But I did some hobbying!

Second batch of epic buildings is finished.

Scar-Vet is preshaded and I used old Trench Crusade mini with broken hand as test piece.

When you use reactivating paints, making markings and stripes can be pain, so after I put on thinking hat, I think I figured out how to do it. After preshading, I'll paint parts of mini with classic paints and then coat it in speedpaints as usual, creating filtered base colors as speedpaints are translucent.
SCIENCE! :D

Well, tooth is out, that is good news.

Rest is hidden, so read at your own risk :D

I was told that the reason tooth was painful sometimes was that since it was so deep and only partially visible, it was impossible to clean it properly and it got chronic mild inflammation that surged when my immune system was occupied elsewhere.
It took hour to get it out, including snipping few pieces of lower jaw that were in the way and few more afterwards, since hole had sharp edges that would cut through gums in future. I got antibiotics, information pamphlet and was send home to get stitches out in 8 days.
After few days, I developed dry socket and somehow ripped out one of the stitches. Since it was a weekend, I went to emergency and they filled dry socket with some special seaweed mixed with herbs. It was great, numbed pain and covered the spot. Next day pain came back with a punch and I found out that seaweed is gone. It probably fell out during night and I swallowed it. Today I went to doctor that took the tooth out to give me something and advice me what to do. She told me to tough it out because it will take about three weeks until dry socket heals, put some small drainage in and told me to come back tomorrow so we can remove stitches... Still on painkillers and current news is that antibiotics probably gave me oral thrush because everything I ate today tasted like fungus filled old bread and my tongue is white coated.

Tough luck man, hope all will settle in a good way and all will be well soon

Thank you, it will eventually. It is interesting that every wisdom tooth had completely different outcome.

New small project with kiddo.

After the doctor visit, better half took him to toystore where they found three headed winged dragon toy, roughly size of our carnosaur mini. It was on sale from roughly 32 euro to just 4 euro. During bus ride home, they found out why. Roughly third of its back leg was missing.

They both agreed that it is not that important and I might be able to repair it. So after I got home from work, I checked it, dug up last mold from oyumaru, that I was using for lizardman ruins on bases and reheated it to create mold from the other back foot. I filled mold with greenstuff yesterday, so wish me luck. Pictures will be posted later :)

Foot straight out of mold and positioned:

Cleaned and glued:

I let it sit to cure superglue and baking soda properly, then onto sculpting leg itself and filling small cracks where foot halves didn't press properly.

After some explaining of my personal sculpting limitations and lack of proper paints to kiddo, we (mostly him) came up with idea. Dragon had accident and lost his limb. After that, the dragon visited a witch who gave him bracelet that granted spectral magical limb.

Also, tomorrow, kiddo will accompany me to modeller club where we have laquer varnish and we coat it for protection against playtime wear.

Month from tooth surgery (and correction surgery 9 days ago).
Month where my only hobby time was replacing limb on dragon toy :D

This is longest I went without assembling or painting minis since 11 years ago when I started.

Also, yesterday I found out that building where modeller club resides is getting bulldozed soon. Current one is in really bad shape and plan for building new place was announced around 2 years ago, but nobody knew how long will it take. They´ll be making whole new community center for all the clubs in one place (gardeners, beekeepers, scouts, seniors, kids, modellers, etc...) but we´ll either be without a base, or we´ll be placed in temporary smaller space (I think somebody mentioned spare firefighters meeting room, where we have our yearly club exhibits.

I really should take some memento photos. modellers were there for last 50 years.
