I agree on this as well.
For the rest of it I had no idea about the context around the game and wasn't aware of the history of the Argentina - Netherlands games from the past that much (the lost final was more a thing of my father's generation, and the lost final to the Germans 4 years earlier)

For me the lost final of 2010 against Spain is the most painful. Luckily 'we' beaten Spain 5-1 in the 2014 group stage :)

Either did I, but they really did a number to bring such emotion out of the normally mild mannered Messi. Probably not a good idea to taunt the GOAT!

One can only dream. But even if it were to end right here and now, it would still stand as a monumental feat. Yet another record, in an already legendary career.
 
I was going to make a joke and post a pic of a goat playing soccer (because I have met goats that do that), but all the images online are creepy AI generated monstrosities, so I'm going to vote Messi.
