And those like me who played 8th Ed, were initially displeased about AoS but then saw AoS was better than expected when they started releasing proper races like the Kharadron Overlords, Fyreslayers and Tzaangors, none of this Sylvaneth rubbish.

I like AoS because the universe is getting very interesting and would start AoS with a new AoS army if I didn't have so much stuff already.

There's no such thing as having "too much stuff" much like my girlfriend disagrees with it :p

Those roque armies could potentially be an increadibly annoying mechanic depending on their (lack of) restrictions... some screwed up combination might be impossible to deal with. Also I'm worried about where they appear.. having that kinda stuff appaer in your backyard is kind of a big deal.

Interesting, but I can see this causing an NPC faction rapidly snowballing cuz it happened to trigger one ability first and then proceeds to steamroll everything else. Same issue I have with the current form of chaos really, the NPC factions like kislev generally do absolutly nothing to stop them, so half the time I end up suddnly having 10 doomstacks on my bordercity as it turns out kislev/the empire/etc. somehow managed to not win a single battle in the last 30-odd turns and the only reason chaos didn't arrive sooner is cuz they were very busy torturing people over and over and over and over again for 30 turns.

I really hope interuping the vortex is fairly easy, AI's tend to cheat badly in TW, and this seems like one where the mechanic effectivly just becomes a timed loss after X turns regardless of what you're actually doing.

To be fair the higher levels of AI, tend to cheat in most RTS games :p, but agree hopefully it wont just be a count down

True, but in TW it does it rather much as the game is rather complex, even by RTS standards. And making a decent AI is quite hard.

You're onto something here. GW update the armies that sell the most, so regardless if people buy the mini's to play 8th edition, AoS or just like painting them, GW will incentivise updating the army that sells well. So we might see a increasing sale of Seraphon a few weeks after the game releases.

Also is there a Warhammer Total-War 2 subforum in this forums future?

I'd suggest just a warhammer total war subforum, or a warhammer videogame subforum given that there are more and more decent warhammer videogames lately.

There is a few topics that could go into its own sub forum, but at this point not enough to justify another sub forum. Since the number of topics and traffic is what decide if a sub forum will survive or not.
