personally I prefer real sable brushes, the synthetics just don't hold paint as well. but having some cheep synthetics in your kit is a good idea...
they could be useful in battle for the pass scenarios.
we... Kinda have war machines, It's just that they are either dinosaurs, (salamander, razordons) or mounted to dinosaurs.(bastilidaon, stegadons)

oh separate units....I think you just square up and stay where you are.
I think we may need some text art for this one...
Makes for a good match with a character killer in a block of infantry.
I think you probably still need the minimum of 3 units for your one list.
Never had a lot of luck with that method. I prefer just mixing the paint as I go along the surface. (like the first video)
Resin, or possibly plastic, from the looks of it... Also I saw some ork part being called resin.
Oh here's part one, apparently this was for painting a sunset. [MEDIA]

I liked pairing it with the dueling blades, and the other tricksters shard. ;) (and a cold one) (and some sort of ward if possible)
How does he compare with a dueling blade old blood ?
here are some more sun shields... http://puppetswar.com/product.php?id_product=143 not nearly as cheep as those buttons though.
