I am probably among the few who think converting SCE to anything else except Free Peoples is actually pretty hard.
Here's why:
They are full of symbols. The Sigmar hammers and lightning and lion heads etc. are everywhere. You don't want them on stuff that isn't supposed to think that Sigmar is a great dude.

But if you cut them off the model looks bad. You would literally cut holes in every part that you have to fill with something. And it would have to look nice. At that point it might be less work to sculpt models yourself, from scratch.
If you don't cut the Sigmar parts off the model looks like a repainted SCE, even if you replace some parts (like with the Ushabti above. The painter tried hiding them in most places, but there are still hammers and lightning bolts all over the models).
