I have a friend looking to get in to AoS and he is looking at getting the Ironjawz start collecting box, he already has a Megaboss to add to the group. Any ideas on what i could field against him to make a fun game? I want make the games fun, not looking to smash him or anything like that.

Also are there any good scenarios that dont require a ton of models? Looking at a lot of them they require 5 models near objectives to capture them, thats nearly impossible with the small army sizes here. I suppose we could just pick an agreed upon number of models to hold an objective but are there any built around smaller forces?

    His army:

    1 x Megaboss
    1 x Warchanter
    3 x Gore Gruntas
    10 x 'Ardboyz

    I can choose from:

    1 x Troglodon
    1 x Stegadon(Can be a Stegadon or EOTG)
1 x Skink priest with feather cloak
    1 x Sunblood
    1 x Eternity Warden
    3 x Ripperdactyls
    8 x Saurus Knights
    10 x Saurus Guard
    20 x Saurus Warriors

I was thinking about doing an Eternity warden, Skink Priest, Guard and the ripperdactyls. But that might be too defensive to kill his units? Would adding in one of the Dino's instead of the guard or rippers be too much?

Megaboss in Mawkrusha? or on foot?

    I would probably go
    Starpriest
    2x5 gaurd
    Stegadon
You're down 20 points though, your list would work, but the steg gives you a bit of shooting to compensate for a defensive stance.

Megaboss is on foot. Eternity warden + Starhost isnt worth it you dont think? It is pretty defensive but I figure he will most likely be charging in to me in the first round anyway with the way Destruction can move.

Edit: Just realized i would need another unit of Guard for the host, so scratch that.

To be honest, I really like Bowsers little list. Especially as the Stegadon also packs a nice punch in close combat.

Target the warchanter with that, use the star priest his(her?) spell on the Gorgruntas or mystic shield on the guards.

You could also swap the guard and priest out for warriors and a sunblood.
But the utility of the priest is verry usefull.

I dont have the starpriest though, I have the regular priest with feather cloak. I did just win an auction for a Slann as well but i think he costs too much to be worthwhile in this sort of game.
