Can anyone remember a time where GW had a sale?

I was still able to buy Storms of Magic earlier this month from my local GW. Was told they shelved them in the back, and you had to specifically ask for them.

Did you have to pay full price for it?
 
I ventured to GW again today and asked about the old 8th edition books again and was told they had shipped them off. Was going to buy High Elves book in the rare event I could find someone to play 8th/Island of Blood :(
 
Finally some significant discounts offered by GW...

Hopefully this is a new trend that GW will continue in the future. I'd love to see what bundles they would offer for the other armies.
 
What makes me want to buy it badly is the extra rules and the fact you get the Saurus and Cold Ones for free, just pay for the Carnosaur. I don't really care if I drown in miniatures.
 
It is an exceptionally good deal... free models are always nice.

What are "Malignants" and "Slaves to Darkness"?

The former look like undead somethings.

Malignants are Vampire Counts (Mortis Engine, Spirit Hosts, Hexwraiths)

Slaves to Darkness are Warriors of Chaos (Chaos Sorceror Lord, Chariot, Chaos Knights, Chaos Warriors)
 
Mine had a special offer type day recently. I got a Warlord for free.

Seems like GW might be changing... for the better. Maybe it is in response to the ever increasing competition that they are facing.
