Now people who want to add cats to their lizards can choose realistic colors! This chart probably wouldn't be useful if you wanted to add a tiger, but kittens are cuter. (And you would probably know what a tiger looks like.)
Since most conversation about cats being used by the lizardmen in soma capacity has been focused on the Jaguar... I'd like to point out that there is an entire genus of south american small cats too! The Leopardus: Leopardus species from top-left, clockwise: ocelot (L. pardalis), oncilla (L. tigrinus), Pampas cat (L. colocola), kodkod (L. guigna), margay (L. wiedii), Geoffroy's cat (L. geoffroyi). I could see the Lustrian equivalent to any of them (or a fully new species inspired in them) being semi-domesticated by the lizardmen as vermin catchers.
Necrothread eh? i don't care, as more recent developments are on theme. in my heart, lizardmen and cats are now canon, given the last short story by @Imrahil
