That is quite an impressive [and heretical] horde, good luck painting them all!
Thanks! I'll eventually get to all of them.
May I recommend painting clanrats in ranks of 5?
That's not a bad idea. I'll probably do something along those lines. Right now, I'm working on getting some of the Silver Tower models painted for a friend.
This is my first Kairic Acolyte:
That is very nice. Love the work on the shoulder pads in particular!
Did you use this technical gem colour from gw for the shoulder pads?
Looks like Greenstuff world chameleon paints
Ja, that could be possible, good catch
Yup. Don't always rely on me though. My recall of paint knowledge is not always hyped up on diner coffee lol
Looking really cool indeed.
Yep. L-M nailed it! It's a Chameleon Paint. Celestial Azure, I think? I did apply a medium glaze over it though.
Thanks for the warm replies, guys! Your kind comments really help keep me motivated!
I finished up 3 more Kairic Acolytes last night.
Four more to go.
The drybrush (I think) makes them a tiny bit grainy on the skin but they look pretty cool.
But what happened to the guy in the last closeup shot? He has some serious warts on his foot! (Ok I guess those are sand grains from the base? You should probably touch them with a bit of brown color then, so it will look as if he just has some dirt on his feet)
Lol, yeah, these were models that the guy I'm painting them for sent me. He had already put the grit on the base and primed them black. Not too worried about it if he wasn't. And you have to remember, these are blown WAAAY up so things like the drybrush strokes don't show up other than at this scale. Thanks for your comments though!
They look good and I think your doing a pretty good job for the time taken.
Woo-hoo! My Ogre BSB made the front gallery of the Dakka Dakka website! I feel like I've finally arrived! Any votes would be much appreciated!
I like the shield... that metallic bluish theme you have going on works really well.
It is a cool and well painted miniature, great job!
