Thanks for the comments everyone!!! The "saddle" bit was made with green stuff to allow the rider to sit on it better. Working on finishing up my Bastiladon right now. Pics up soon.
Finished by Bastiladon! Since I put a solar engine on the beast, which fires the Beam of Chotec, which reminded me of a lazer, I decided to use a tank-like colour scheme. I think it came out really nice. Really did not like the extra plates on the legs. Just did not make sense to place it on the model for me. Here is another angle: Working on the rest of my salamanders. Thanks for any feedback in advance.
Looks nice! The bright yellow crystal really stand out against the darker bastiladon. Is it a white pattern on the bastiladon or is it just light reflecting on its back?
White drybrush. Was trying to give the impression of tank markings and hoping for something that would contrast against the green of the shell.
Finished up my Terradon Riders! I used colours that would make them stand out from the rest of the army, as all the other dinos do. The flame effect was a fun challenge. Bases used a lot of the features from the Citadel Death World Base Set. Here is the Sky Captain up close: Comments welcome! Going to get started on my Battle Standard Bearer and Saurus Lord models.
Yes I did. A chariot base. Used sand for the texture. And the Citadel basing set for a lot of the features. Since I was dealing with a metal carnosaur, that is very top heavy, I had to pin the feet to the base and extend the wire a few inches underneath it so it can remain stable.
Okay, now finished my battle standard bearer. It's a combination of the Saurus Scar Veteran and the Lizardmen BSB model. I really did not like the BSB model, especially the quality of the molding on the figure. Because of the weight of the standard on the model, I had to counterbalance it with some fishing weights under the base. Hope y'all like.
