Straight out confirm it, no. The way I have interpreted the commentators last night the rerolls and skink spells are different traits. The truth will set us free on saturday!

Hey guys one quick question when you have a battalion that includes other battalions how does that work ?

Do you get to artifacts and do you get the benefits from both battalions or do you only get one artifact and a benefit for the larger battalion?

You get all benefits and artifacts for the main battalion and the sub battalion.

That's the reason (or at least one reason) why they became so expensive. Some armies, like Bonesplitterz or Sylvaneth had very cheap bataillons and basically got items and less drops for free, which tipped balance in their favour very much. For them it was easy to play with three or even four artefacts and drop their whole army at once.

I am glad that's not so cheap anymore. Taking a Bataillon, two, or even none, is a decision now. Risk vs. Reward.
    I like it.

Thinking of some ways to run a Bloodclaw.

    Slann - General - 260
Old blood on Carno - 280
Scar vet on Carno - 240
Scar vet on cold one - 100
    Sunblood - 120
    10 x Knights - 200
    40 x warriors - 360
    10 x warriors - 100
    Bloodclaw starhost - 200
    3 x Salamanders - 120

Pile all the buffs on the knights and teleport them and probably the Scar vet on carno or cold one where they can get a charge on some vulnerable units. Big block of warriors to take objectives with the other 10 to hold something less vulnerable/protect the Slann. Old one gets to just go hunting and the sunblood can hang with the big block of warriors. Salamanders for some ranged support and mortal wounds.

Could also swap out 20 warriors and the Salamanders for a Basti not sure which I would prefer there honestly, I do love my laser lizard.

Looks good! Though I don't understand the Dracothion's tail. does it mean we can summon units for free? Or we can summon units from our Starhosts?

We can summon units from the starhost, for free. But only one of each unit per turn. This one is soooooo with the lore, I love it. But if you loose your slann turn 1, well, though pickles.

So wait, say I deploy with a Firelance with 3 units of Knights. Does it mean that once each turn I can summon another unit of Saurus knights for free?!

So each turn, one free unit of Saurus knights?!

It's one drop, stick the slann on a balewind vortex and summon/teleport most of your army 9 inches away from your opponents deploment zone!

You can summon the units that you have in your list already for free, nothing outside of it.

It sounds like it still requires the summoning reserve pool. you have a firelance + slann with the option of other battalions. My question is whether we take no extra battalions whether we still have the option to summon units outside of firelance, or , for example, if I wanted to summon guards, would I need to include an eternal starhost? I like that we have a fairly convenient one drop battalion though.

It includes the battallions and any other seraphon unit. As long as you have them in your list before the game, you can summon them in for free. Anything not on the list, will require casting and reinforcement points.

So how would that work? I would have to put some units in reserve outside of the board, and I can summon them in? But I believe you have to start with 3 battleline units in your army right?

Yes. But the battlelines dont have to be fielded right away.
    Here's an example:

    Dracothions Tail 60
    Slann 260
    20 Saurus Warriors 200

    Shadowstrike 170
    10 Skinks 60
    10 Skinks 60
    6 Rippers 280
    Starpriest 80

    Firelance Starhost 110
    Scar vet on Carno 240
    Saurus Knights 100
    Saurus Knights 100
    Saurus Knights 100

That is 1820 points (the new points).

In my deployment I must field the slann, because he's doing the summoning. That's the only mandatory part.

    For example:
I choose to deploy the slann and the entire shadowstrike starhost. Leaving the firelance and the Warriors in the cosmos.
In my first hero phase I can summon the following for free (free is relative since they are already paid for):
    1x Scar vet on Carno
    5x Saurus Knights
    20x Saurus Warriors

In the second one I can summon:
    5x Saurus Knights for free

    And in the third one:
    5x Saurus Knights for free

On top of all this I have 180pt in reinforcement, these points I can use for standard summoning in any of my hero phases, as in I can choose whatever I want as long as I can pay for it and I succeed the casting roll.

I hope that clears things up!

Did anyone else see the typo? They wrote Slaan Starmaster instead of Slann Starmaster several times....
    And about the important things:
Does dracothion's tail allow you to summon more than the point limit? Like expanding your army to 2500 points in a 2000 points game? Guess not! But it allows you to somehow out maneuver your oponeopponent by summoning units for free(meaning no spells wasted) ... did I get that right?
