Green stuff?

So since finding this site i see a lot of folks mention green stuff and I've seem some amazing things done with it and I'm just wondering is the stuff easy to work with? i was thinking of in the future getting a load of Skinks and making them into Chameleons

It could just be me that is incompetent, but I find it extremely difficult to work with.

However, there is lots of help/tutorials on the subject available on this site. @Rikard is a master of green stuff, shaping it with the skill and grace with which a god would shape the cosmos.

Someone actually did that on the forum, but I can't remember who it was. Perhaps someone who remembers could link the relevant thread topic. It would provide you with a useful pictorial aid.
 
I converted some Skinks into Chameleon Skinks, pictures are in my blog.
I didn't use Greenstuff but my homemade stuff, but others have done it with greenstuff (and better than me).

I have worked a bit with original greenstuff as well and what I don't like about it is that it is so sticky. You can use water to make it less sticky but then it is wet and slippery as well.
I never found the middle ground where you can properly work with it.

As my count of years on this blue/green marble reaches 1st Gen Slann levels of old, I've learned a few things.
The biggest and perhaps the most terrible, is the unforgiving standards by which we hold ourselves, so much so that in many circles we (figuratively speaking) hobble ourselves, crushing any notions of greatness or self development before we even give them a chance to grow.

Remember, even a giant red wood starts from a tiny seed and it's ok to cut yourself some slack, I am proud and honoured to chat with all of you on this forum, be it sporadic, or frequent.
 
Yeah, if you adjust your ratios you'll find something less stick you can work with. The real key is keeping your tools wet.
