Help mounting a fatemaster

I recently got a fatemaster, the little hole in its disc isn't big enough to slot the seethrough pole he's supposed to be mounted on in. Anyone have any suggestions for how to fix this?

Use a hobby drill to make it bigger?

I've somehow managed with a screwdriver, apparently the resin is pliable enough that just pressing it in was enough to get it to widen a bit without breaking anything.
