Hey guys? Does anybody know any good resources for making temple ruins for terrain and basing uses? Be it sculpting your own, or using certain rolling pins and putty (cuz I know there are some, but are they good?)

Styrofoam insulation stuff can be shaped easily, I have started building walls out of it. Also works great for rocks. If you need ornaments you can use the rolling pins from greenstuffworld.com Edit. Sniped, I have exactly that rolling pin. Roll them over some putty or so, I use the (non toxic, BPA free) "fimo air basic". It is similar to clay and works great. As a base for the scenery I have some hard foam sheets.
This is what I use for the ruins on my bases, link in my signature to my painting blog! I use DAS air drying modelling clay. 8 billion times easier to work with than green stuff.
Yeah green stuff is not ideal for that. It behaves weirdly when you use large amounts, it is expensive, and toxic. My friend tried brown stuff and it wasn't better either. That Fimo stuff I use is mineralic, and so is the one @Ritual mentioned IIRC. You could even use plaster I think. People make rocks out of it when making model train terrain.
Cheapest way to make a temple ruin? Foam out of a box for an appliance you bought around the house somewhere. Or you could get the packing foam from a store somewhere, like a hobby store or a home-improvement store. Cut it into tiny blocks, and build upwards! That is my general plan whenever I get around to it... but there are a lot of great Lizardmen temple examples out there! That stuff is really cool
