As the title suggests, i've gone off GW games (with the exception of playing 9th age and silver tower with a friend who plays nothing else). I'd reel off all my reasons, but I'm sure you all know anyway.

But I haven't given up tabletop wargaming....

Warmachine - Retribution of Scyrah

Narn, Mage Hunter of Ios

Thyron, Sword of Truth

Vyros, Incissar of the Dawnguard (vyros2)

Dawnlord Vyros (Vyros1)

Those guys are cool! I was looking into warmachine and Hordes as well.

Do it, it's fun. lower model count, no ranking up. Tight rules, very competitive

I wouldn't mind hearing your reasons for not playing AoS* ;););)

*pay no attention to me, I'm just stirring up a little trouble.

1- GW has become a (even more than usual) money hungry profit machine that cares not about their existing customers, or rules for the minis they produce (that keeps customers coming back and talking about their product)
2- AoS was a juvenile piece of crap with rules so simplistic that they're designed for 12 year olds, but with a price tag more exorbitant than WHFB was
3- Every "effort" they make to pretend to be gamer-inclusive turns out to be a ploy to make the already OP stuff more desirable and leaving the stuff that doesn't sell (because their rules are shit) even further behind. Which could be fixed if they put effort into all aspects of their product, not just the new hotness.

You asked :P

For the record, point #2 is my favourite! :D:D

I hear you Brad, I too have turned to KOW and although GW make amazing models I have started looking at other products and you know what they are quite good and 1/2 the price of GW stuff.

Been 6 months since I bought a GW mini.

I'll be posting up some infinity models as well :)

Really like the horse!! (vyros2)

Sad to see you steer away from the Lizzies but you do some fantastic work so I'm happy to see you stick around!

Warmahordes interests me as well but I can't justify buying into it right now. I'm too heavily invested in GW for better or worse.

I'm really looking forward to what you have in store for us next!

Regarding being invested into GW...
I have a full High Elf army and lizardmen army. As well as those, I have a large Dark Eldar and Tyranids force, as well as also having half a dark angels army floating around somewhere, and a few Craftworld Eldar bits are in there somewhere.

I now have lots of Warmachine (which I don't really have a complete set of Retribution yet, but it's still sizey) and I've also started some Infinity Tohaa.

Trust me, there's always room for more.

I'm living proof!!! Bask in my majesty!

Trust me, there's always room for more.
When you're living in the back room of your wife's Grandma's apartment with a 2 year old daughter I'm afraid there's not as much room for more as I'd like...

I also struggle with what faction I like the look of more when it comes to Warmahordes. Cryx, Everblight, and Convergence are all awesome. Then there's the croc people...

Nah.... once you go Lizzie you never go back (unless of course we're talking about Chaos... a little Chaos is always good).

My 5000pt or so of Chaos Space Marines agrees with this statement.

Daaaaamn, that sucks!

With regards to the faction conundrum.. I always say "whynot both, pick zoidberg whynot?"

heresy.

Also that Lord Arcanist Ossyan guy looks like a very interesting mix of human and GW Tau armor. Looks pretty cool, got a link to their website?

New Warmachine update.

Getting closer to display standard. I will probably add a few subtle bright points in the chest armour (it's been bugging me)
Things of coolness to note:
1. Magicks in hand OSL
2. Glowy eye
3. TMM orbs
4. Weathered feet and sash
