Let's Get Motivated - April 2018

For me all the Army Painter sprays worked fine, and so did the GW varnish btw.
But I have heard a lot of bad things about the GW stuff, not only from you.
 
Tonight's agenda:

Prime dwarf shields
Paint 12 dwarves
Paint shields
Attach
Laundry
Start build-a-polooza
 
Nearly half way again and I've completed the following,

60 Skeleton warriors
20 Graveguard
10 Hexwraiths
10 Black knights
9 Spirit hosts
1 Wight king with black axe.

To be fair does that even count? You're making them all aetherial which is even easier than regular bones :P
 
12 dwarves done(check golloch's 3rd legion in army blog subforum), and you know what that means! Build a palooza has begun. 10 salamanders built.

My probably impossible hope is to field fully painted armies in each week of my local GW shop's Spring AoS Escalation League (500 points starting the weekend of Friday, April 13th, then 1000 the next week, then 1500, then 2000). I've begun my 500 point list and completed a Razordon, a Salamander, a Saurus Eternity Warden, and five Skinks. Yesterday I started on a unit of five Saurus Guard and will need to do twenty-five more Skinks over the next week. I'm fairly confident I'll get those done before time, and be able to start on my 1000 point list (a Heavenswatch Starhost with a Skink Starpriest and Troglodon, two units of ten Skinks, Terradons, and a Hunting Pack with a Razordon). My Skink Starseer is still in the box, as are my Terradon Riders, but the rest of the needed models are built and primed. Mid-month check in! I did get my 500 point army painted in time (and won the game!), and have started on my 1000 point army. For it, I have my already painted two units of Skinks, and over the weekend I painted the three Skink Handlers, the Blot Toad (I mistakenly said Terradons in my original post, I meant Ripperdactyls), and my Skink Starpriest. Next projects are to finish painting the 1000 point list and to write up the 1500 point list, then build and paint whatever is necessary for it.

well.... the stuff from March is still left to do. But I did a few other small things at least.

150 model equivalency achieved, so march goal achieved.

50 salamanders/lizardmen prepped for priming.
 
So the goblin green army painter spray was a rousing success. Itis either matching the green I use as my lizards basecoat or is slightly off. It's literally half a shade, if at all.

All that gets wiped away by the fact I green wash the basecoat. So it's a perfect spray for my lizards! Saving me valuable painting time!
