Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - June 2018

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

This month I want to finish my Death army and most of my remaining Seraphon.

For Death I have 3 Necromancers and Arkhan
For Seraphon I have a SC box, 18 Knights, 10 Camo skinks, 3 Salamanders, Stegadon and Zlaaq.
 
I'll go for finishing up the Moonclan bits I have left over at the moment:

20 grots
1 mangler
2 shaman
1 warboss
6 fanatics

All that will probably go out the window when new AoS drops :)
 
Just joined so thought I’d get involved.

Since there are new and very interesting summoning rules coming into play I best get myself a saurus astrolith bearer ready (and a few smaller units for summoning);

-Saurus Astrolith bearer
-Convert 5x more Cameleons
-Convert a Skink starpriest (as I intend to get a dread Saurian into the army list - and double damage jaw attacks would be ace!)
-Paint Bastiladon

-And if possible get said Saurian
 
  • Four more Lymbo Horsemen
  • A hero who ever it is
  • Four zombi
  • A story in french
  • A story translated and published on vampirecounts
  • A warhammer digital painting for a french contest
 
Probably won't get a lot done this month as I will be on vacation for two weeks. But I plan to get my second Morghast and my Sepulchural Guard done, and finish some bases.
 
I've been trying a new plan of get in at least a layer or 2 of paint on something every night. Finished my bastiladon (pictures soon) working on a couple new things, like a carnosaur inspired by a demon.
 
Damn I can't believe you all get so much done in a month. Me personally I have only one goal and that is complete my Lord Mazdamundi. Right now Lord Mazdamundi and his throne are complete. I'm in the middle of painting his Stegadon mount at the moment.

IF I get that done within a month then my next project is a Skink Starpriest.
 
I'll be shooting for getting 22 Empire Knights Panther done as well as get started on my Ogre Ironblaster. It'll be a rather lofty goal, but hey, that's why we put them out there.
 
Didn't especially want to say the same thing over again on my monthly goals, so I waited to post till I finished my Burning Shore based Saurus. I got lazy right at the basing time and fooled around with other things. But with him done I can aim for...

Sepulchral Guard from Shadespire! I loved the looks of these skeletons and bought them without considering playing the actual game. I've got them assembled, filed, and primed with a first bone base coat on. Looking to have them all nice and deadly by the end of the month over on Getting the Host Back Together.
 
huh, i thought my message went through earlier.

my month is up in the air, but i am going to attempt to go from 245 infantry equivalency, to 365 equivalency

I don’t have a Hellcannon. I wish I had something to be [proxy for] a Hellcannon. I disliked the grim, greebly, horridness (with SKuLLZ!!!) of the official model. :meh: Even if I liked the idea of a Huge-Chaos-Cannon.

I love the Hellcannon model. My second favourite GW model of all time! I own 3.5 metal hellcannons (I say 3.5 because the fourth one is missing quite a few components)
 
I just finished my main goal for the month, a unique ork triplane (deffkopta) conversion :D

The first week-plus of the month was busy, but as long as I get time I hope to work on some more orky business, between some savages and the lootas I have on my painting table right now.
