Meng Toon tanks

I recently purchased two meng toon tanks for converting and use in my sci-fi armies.

The one drawback that I see is the rubberized tracks. It's an interesting idea but I don't particularly like the thought of a model piece being under continued tension.

Not sure what to do now in regards to converting other than maybe hover tanks.

Heat those tracks, tension them and cool them down. Do this couple of times and they come up longer.
