Blog Ndege's painting and conversion lab - Nuff said!

I think the pure Kislev may cause that spotty effect a bit.
Otherwise I kinda like her, she looks like a female version of that Darkoath Chieftain from the Silver Tower set. She's a fighter and she doesn't care what anyone is thinking about her. She doesn't even care that anyone sees her naked because she feels comfortable and they will be dead a few seconds later anyway, slain by her axe.

I don't like her face though, don't know what causes that. Perhaps the eyes. But that's how I feel about most human models.

Looks good but might have been better if you would have glazed with Seraphim sepia and then applied a recess shade.
That was what I thought, too... after doing the sepia... :banghead::facepalm:

Yes indeed a nice model. I really like her attitude... like walking over the battlefield like it's a kind of red carpet and cutting of some head's and slicing through some foe here and there on her way to the bar...
One of the reasons why I continued painting her...

I think the skin looks better now...

Had some problems posting in threads today... after resetting my phone settings I can now show you my take on the excelsior warpriest (part what ever... more than two for sure)

Guess the skin could need some brighter highlights... but more important: what do you think about the colors I chose for his tunic and cloak? I'm kind of liking it but it looks very different to the original... more parrot like... thoughts? opinions?

Skin looks very good.
As for the blue/green... i would probably have chosen a bit darker tones but I think they will look really good if you do some gold details on the model.

I see Vulkan did the timewarp again...

The 40k Character Vulkan is a perpetual. he's died, been stripped down to atoms, etc many times and shown up later somewhere else. also, timewarp, the best song from rocky horror picture show.

well, except one.

damnit Janet...

Ah... ok... I'm not into 40k fluff so much... but seems a correct analysis of what happened to my priest...

I was more considering the color scheme you chose being close to what Vulkan is usually painted with. so the model in my eyes, for the purposes of my original joke, was representing vulkan having come back in the mortal realms after an accident

So... this leads to a name for my priest... let's call him Hephaistos (english Hephaestos)... since it's the Greek version of the ancient Roman god Vulcan and the name Vulcan is already given to said character...
Here's what he looks like at the moment

As you can see I went for silver instead of gold... don't think it was a bad decision... his clothes are also even brighter now...
Left the backside darker cause it'll be covered by his cloak...

And his gryphhound

They might be called hounds, yet they are just large cats with some feathers and a beak.
IDK... the pose does seem very hound-like. However, since it is a mythical creature, I guess each of us can call it as we see it. :)
