Blog Ndege's painting and conversion lab - Nuff said!

i see it as a well painted miniature.
Thanks!
On that topic: I see it as a kind of evolved lizard... ;)

I don't know what it is about priests, that I like their models so much... but I couldn't help myself and got another one... warpriest... was really tempted to also get a star priest but want to finish my conversion first...
Here you go

Also what do you think about my parchment? A shaggy layer of flayed ones flesh over some rinox hide washed with seraphim sepia...

Looking forward to seeing your progress with the second priest. Parchment looks ok. Needs scribble lines

those look positively demonic
Yeah I went for a more irregular look for those to resemble "chaos runes". Human text would be more cohesive lines.
...although it really looks the same if you don't look too closely.

Yep. And actually quite easy to do. Here are my books from the ST set for reference. Talented/experienced painters can do it even better:

It's a book with the wisdom of mankind written in... or at least the wisdom of 12.9% of the German people... :banghead::hungover::vomit:

Ok. Political jokes aside! It's just the parchment at the moment... ink will be added soon...
And thanks for the reference pic @Aginor

Progress on the warpriest number two... painted the tunic purple though I initially had black in mind... still unsure... it makes him so colorful... dark grey could be another option...

Also the red parts stand out more one a not so colorful background what would much better tie the priest and his gyphhound together optically... cause he is going to be red...

Some SCE I painted today... ok actually it's just one retributor in red black and green... liberator is just for comparison...

What do you think? Which one do you like better? Are they looking to different to serve in one army? Should I change from black back to gold?

So... had to try gold... have to say it definitely looks more unified... exchanging red and green parts gives enough variety... check it out

Still thinking that black looks good, too.... but storm casts are not the kind of army to have too much variety in it...

I agree with the gold it does help, but I am not sure if I like the white face though.

When I first saw the red colors I immediately thought of this guy:

Yep... found that guy in Google, too...

And that's the reason why I didn't post it here... ;)

The plan was to give all my sce s a silver mask as an allover marking of my forces... so it's definitely not going to stay white... but still standing out from the rest of the model...

A backview of one of the heroes of the gang... his armor is colored black on gold... the shoulder pads will be in rasta colors, too... possibly... but maybe just black as there are some parts of the cloak covering the front side...
