Not that people think I don't paint lizardmen anymore...
Here is what I made out of the rex on raptor model... quite common for me to change the color scheme when continuing something...
Thanks... can only hope my paint job is doing this amazing sculpt justice...
Also continued painting the converted cowboy and another model for my unit of knights... the GW version of the scar veteran looks quite... well... there is a notable difference between both sculpts...
Good thing is... both scar vets have a skull helmet...
Little progress...
Finished knight and wip knight:
Converted scar veteran:
And a group shot of all riders... shields are attached with poster putty... as are the riders to mounts...
Here's my unit of knights in different stages of painting... still unsure if there's two much variety in the design of their backs... at least they all have the same skin color (except the leader) and the shields will all be purple... guess that's enough to tie the unit together...
Maybe if I make them all brown and just vary the color of the pattern... hmmm... front side:
I think I agree with @Crowsfoot here. They look a bit too individual. It makes them look a bit disorderly. Perhaps at least on common base color somewhere would fix that.
Exactly what I thought tonight... might look cool to have more variety if they came in a horde of 20 or so but in a unit of six it's better to keep them more unified...
Four knights in different stages of painting... one is finished(left or in the very back) one is nearly finished (leader) and the other two are mainly basecoat and shade with the start of some highlights...

Didn't work on the standard bearer and the drummer... making a unit of six, that will be reinforced by my next purchase of a box of knights some time after Christmas... so expect most of the show color combinations being repeated in the unit...
Worked on the scales of two green back cold ones... one is darker and one brighter... one is finished scales wise for now and one needs final highlights and a glace...
One:and another one:
Comparison with the finished white back cold one:
Riders attached:
Skin and scales are done so far... so I started working on teeth and claws... the red crest and spinal scales are going to be the very last part of the mount I'll paint... I always hold it on this parts when painting and so the basecoat got rubbed off... also the bridle to do... then I'll focus on the rider while continuing the other mounts of the unit...
Yeah, its an eclectic pallet but I'm a big fan of how these are going the great thing is the more you look the more you notice and that's really exciting.
So... little was done on the cold one... just somehow finished the face... Will have to redo the claws... they look crappy...
Couldn't decide which pictures to show so you got all four...
And here's a side project.. my fifth edition kroxigor is changing colors once again... maybe he came with a spawning of chameleon skinks?
