Outside of the cloak nearly done... just some very final highlights ...

Next problem: hair color... grey looks good, but I wonder if something else might look better... Will decide after doing the skirt... which looks really dark atm cause of the earth shade... possible hair color: black, brown, grey... anything not red.. .

Black hair will make her face pop and look really cold but that is what your aiming for with a Necromancer, she might look a bit vampy but black hair will really bring her face to life, don't highlight the hair with grey as that will make her look old use dark reaper or Incubi darkness.

So... the saurus race is still in progress... painted the metal parts on half of the yellow unit... no pictures cause it's a minor progress in terms of visibility... but it enables me to say that now half of the unit is nearly finished...

I also started (and kind of rushed through it somehow) painting Autumn Bronzeleaf from my reaper bones collection... again I'm not extremely happy with the casting... her left hand and parts of the face look like she experienced a acid attack or had a fight with a chain saw... also some of the details are not as crisp as on the original version... but for the price still great... tried to give her a kind of Indian summer coloration... brow parts will be bronze...

Progress on the skin of Autumn...

Got to practice faces... and need to get out a new brush... the tip is getting worse every day...
I also had an idea of how to use the reaper minies as amazon priestess...

You see winter, summer (or maybe spring) and fall...
One high priestess for every season... good idea?;)

I was bored while typing some documents and necessary stuff... so I took a break and started sticking things on my carnosaur conversion...
Here's the result:

Now I need to green stuff some things an I think it will look quite cool...

First painting of the year... man what a long break... anyways... redid the shell of my first basti... the one that was orange... decided to take the beetle theme to another level and paint it like a lady bug... base coat of red and black done on the shell... skin will be dark grey... unsure if the pattern of the shell will be pure black or with some white rim or something...

Great start, I was waiting for the @Aginor bug to catch on (see what I did there @tom ndege )

The shell of a Basti is such a great canvas, I can imagine dozens of cool paint jobs.
....so many Bastis, so little time....

After I finished the two I already own I'll definitely get a third one... didn't like the model at first (on pictures) but now I think it is my favorite of the big dinosaurs... at least on par with the old metal steggy...;)

Indeed... that's what I feel... the new steggy looks more like a fat kind of protoceratops ( like how I feel sometimes...) ... and also nostalgic reasons... the metal stegadon was my first big model... and I bought it on a boat trip in England... Norfolk Broads... nice place...

Quick update on the lady bug... no dots yet... therefore white markings on the head and spikes...

And the engine...

Added dots...

I feel like I should do something with the spikes on the edge of the shell... but don't know what... black rim? White tips? Also the horns on the head... make all or one of them red? Or white? Or leave it as is and continue...

I like it as is actually, though the white horns may be a bit too bright for my taste. Have you thought of glossing it once done to get that sheen?

I was aiming for the bright look... should resemble the white markings on a lady bug's head and torso...

They are a bit bright now... but I think after finishing it will look a lot smoother...
