Blog Ndege's painting and conversion lab - Nuff said!

As my wife forbid any painting for the near future and made me put the stuff further away than usual Iam and will be unable to paint for a while... ... but she didn't say anything about sculpting! ...so I was able to make some progress on the kroxigor that I started a while ago and his weapon...

A little bit of painting after four months break...
Just two skinks... one with a sepia wash one without... I prefer the later...
both not finished... obviously...

I like them both, but I like the brown/sephia one more!

I like the unwashed one, but he definately needs a wash... maybe a pale red, or half-and-half Sepia with a Medium?

Indeed. I don't dislike the wash in general but other than I expected the sepia came out quite a bit strong... I'll try a thinned down version later today... and maybe more detailed concentrating on the recesses...

Had time to browse through your works - very nice, loving the sculpts - I will be watching to see how it goes :)

:hilarious::bag::inpain:

So... weeks later I managed to do a little stuff for the hobby... the second skink got a wash, too and I did some highlights on the crests and scales of both... more pleased with the results now...
Side note: the dark one fell off the desk and instead of loosing one of it's arms lost the tip of it's tail...
Pictures of them tomorrow... hopefully...
And as I used all of the boxes' skink alphas for conversions I had to convert/heavy kit bash a new alpha for this (purple marked) unit... gave him a bigger spear and some feathers... guess it'll do... what do you think?

Side project:
Got a wizzkidz ghost and banshee blister... started with the one I think is supposed to be the banshee...
Still shiny cause the last layer is still wet...
I made the skin and the lower part of the skit light grey... the hair and the middle part of the skit have base of Vallejo dead flesh and for the (is it one?) tunic I used a mixture of white and GW genestealer as basecolor... shaded everything with biel-tan... then did some highlights up to white on the grey parts and up to grey (ghost grey from Vallejo btw) on the green... for the purple I used a mixture with more white in it and a final thin layer of pure white... the purple was then shaded with druchi violence and everything glazed with Vallejo transparent green with some glaze medium added... hope the different basecolors will show up more when it's dry...
Pictures... last two with zoom...

C&C welcome

Yep. I thought the Vallejo transparent green was similar to GW' s waywatcher green but it turned out to be much stronger and a bit darker... so it turned out much darker than I expected... the model was actually a test for the newly bought color...

Some WIP Dragon...

Finished banshee... waiting for a proper basing... made the eyes and the mouth a red tone to have the face more recognizable...

Started the ghost... the plan is to try to make the body much brighter than the dress... fucking phone wouldn't focus correctly... sorry...

And I started working on my pop fifth edition wraith...
