Another quick post, showing a quick conversion this time. Here is my Icon Bearer for my Plague Marines.20200627_080205.jpg

Tonight I finished a giant for use in Oathmark. I can probably use him for WHFB as well, as long as I'm not at a GW store.

I took some time tonight to finish this up. One of the core lore ideas in Oathmark is that in ages past various groups swore great oaths to rulers and carved their oaths on stones which they set up to as symbols of those oaths. I borrowed an idea from Scruffy Crow's youtube channel and put together a fairly simple one. This is a cardboard core with spackle over it, then carved, based, and painted. I can probably build a couple more fairly easily. The next one I do should probably have a larger base, but overall I'm happy with this one.

Final picture of the finished ruined building. Overall, I think it turned out ok, although I'm not happy with the way the cardboard I used as a base warped. I'm switch to hardboard for the rest of them, so this one may become an emergency backup piece.

This has been done for a while, I just finally put sand on the base. Dollar Tree Christmas decorations on a hardboard base.

Still looks pretty good mate.

Looks great to me!

I have had this problem before, both with cardboard and with foam board. One of the solutions that my brother figured out was to paint the underside of the terrain base with one or two coats of paint (usually I just paint them black). This causes the board to flatten right back out, as the paint on both sides equalizes the warping. Doesn't always work, especially if you glue a lot of sand on top, but it usually works for me to minimize the warping a bit.

Thank you! I will try that when I have some time.

20200808_201241.jpg Update: I tried the paint the underside method mentioned above and it worked.

I also put more work into my second ruined building. This is half done. The dark spot in the front is where the rest of it will go.

And here is the rest of it.

Finished 19 shoota boyz for my ork waagh, which is my Kroosade force. I still need to finish the job, but otherwise the unit is done. Until I decide to bump it to 30 boys...
